"Gone Fishing"
Russell Sessions, age 62, loving, caring companion, father and Papa, died April 23, 2000, Easter Sunday, of a heart attack.Russ was born May 22, 1937, in Sonora, California to Burnell and Juanita Ross Sessions. Graduated from Wasatch High in Heber City, Utah. Served two years in the U.S. Army. Worked as a General Contractor in the Salt Lake area for 30 years and was well respected in his profession. Russ loved his grand-children, fishing and golfing with his friends and traveling with his companion, Arlys, and was always there with the biggest smile when friends called for help. Married to Lorraine Ferrera, they had two daughters and later divorced.
Survived by his companion, Arlys Erickson; daughters, Nanci Sessions (David) Cutt; Janet Sessions; five grandchildren, Whitney, Tanner, MacKenzie, Dylan and Victoria. Also Arlys's sons, Scott, Nick, Tim; and granddaughters, Ashly and Cherree; a brother, Don Sessions.
He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him!
Funeral services will be held on Fri, April 28, 2000 at 2 p.m. at the Heber Stake Center, 150 No. 200 W. Friends may call Thurs. from 6-8 p.m. at the Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, 288 No. Main, Heber City, Utah and also at the church on Friday from 12:45 to 1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Heber City Cemetery with full military honors.
