SCIPIO, Utah-
Raymond Chester Memmott passed away peacefully at his home in Scipio April 23, 2000.Ray was born November 11, 1939 in Nephi, Utah. His earthly life was more brief than we had expected and we shall miss him deeply.
He is survived by his parents, Chester and Esther Memmott of Scipio; brothers, Marvin Jay Memmott, Nephi; Robert F. and Kathleen Memmott, Morgan; sisters, JoAnn and Richard Frost, Salt Lake City; Susan and Randy Allred, Salt Lake City; Cindy and Roy Hafen, Santa Clara; children, Marcy and Peter Nordberg, San Francisco, CA; Ramie and Karl Augut, San Ramone, CA; Christy Memmott, Salt Lake City; Lori Kay Memmott, Salt Lake City; Michael Todd Pitts, Minnesota; and Salina Nelson, Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Karli, Alexa and Jacob Augut; and Breonna Memmott.
Ray graduated from Millard High School in Fillmore. He earned a BS degree in Chemistry while serving in the United States Navy in Oxnard, CA. He worked for many years in construction in California and Utah as a superintendent.
Ray will be remembered for his pleasant smile and sparkling eyes. His generous charity that he freely extended to all will be missed by family and friends. His service to others was immeasurable. Ray loved singing
