The state Division of Substance Abuse has a new director.
Patrick J. Fleming, who has served as acting director since January, will replace the retired Leon PoVey."I hope to work closely with the judicial system on implementing drug courts," Fleming said. "And I'd like to continue to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of substance abuse treatment and prevention services."
Fleming headed the Utah County Human Services Division for six years before joining the state substance abuse division two years ago. He has a master's degree in public administration from the University of Utah.
