AURORA, Utah
- Blaine Charles Curtis died April 26, 2000 in Lehi, Utah. He was a retired rancher, former Se-vier County Commis-sioner and Arizona LDS Temple Ordin-ance Worker.He was born Sept. 12, 1914 in Aurora, Utah to Lero and Hazel Kennedy Cur-tis. He attended school in Salina where he enjoyed participation in many sports and was an accomplished sprinter. He married Amy Golda Murphy May 4, 1933 in the Manti, Utah LDS Temple. They enjoyed many happy years together. Blaine and Amy were loving parents and grandparents. They were blessed with 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Blaine was able to fulfill a mission call with his wife to the Montana Billings Mission of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They were devout members of the LDS Church and were able to serve the Church in many capacities.
He is survived by children, Bart and Irene Curtis, Sandy, UT, La Nette and Gideon Allen, Boise, ID, Karl and Linda Curtis, Phoenix, AZ, Jerry and Kay Curtis, Flower Mound, TX; brother, Max J. Curtis; and sisters, Leda Larson, Rena Corbridge. Blaine was preceded in death by his wife, Amy; parents; son, Chad Blain;, daughter-in-law, Gena; sister, Elda Freeman; and brothers, Herald, Guy, Reed.
Services will be Wednesday May 3, 2000, 11 a.m. in the Aurora 1st LDS Ward Chapel, where friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Burial, Aurora Cemetery. Funeral directors, Magleby-Jensen Mortuary, Salina and Gunnison.
