SOUTH WEBER -- A 3-month-old boy remained in critical condition at Primary Children's Medical Center Tuesday morning, nearly a week after he was injured in a home day care.
Davis County Sheriff's Lt. Dan Horton said investigators are continuing to piece together what happened March 29 to the baby as he was being cared for in a South Weber home.Horton declined to release the name of the infant.
Paramedics were called to Geri Daines' home at 7325 S. 1600 West at 1:21 p.m., where they found the baby with severe head injuries.
Daines said she was not in the room when the injuries happened and had checked on the baby 10 minutes prior to the incident.
The investigation has been difficult because detectives have been trying to get answers out of one 3-year-old and two 4-year-olds in the room when the baby was hurt.
One child said a 4-year-old child pulled the baby off the bed, but Horton said the severity of the injuries are not consistent with a simple fall.
