FORSYTH, Georgia-
Maria van Os-Pettigrew, 48, died on March 31, 2000 after a yearlong battle with cancer.Born on November 5, 1951 in Vlaardingen, Holland, daughter of Huibert van Os and Sientje van Os-Horeweg.
Married Robert N. Pettigrew in 1962 in Salt Lake City; later divorced.
Survived by two sons, Robert N. and Andrew Pettigrew, both of Forsyth, Georgia; her parents; three brothers, Christian (Sang) van Os; Raymond van Os; and Richard (Carla) van Os; nephews, Aaron Nez, Matthew and Ryan van Os; and nieces, Rachael and Rhiannen van Os, all Salt Lake City. Preceded in death by her brother, Matthijs J. van Os.
Burial was on April 3 in Forsyth, Georgia.
We all considered Maria to be a treasure and a blessing and as such she will forever live in our minds and in our hearts.
