CEDAR CITY (AP) -- City officials announced Monday that Cerro Copper, the world's leading manufacturer of copper tube, will build a manufacturing plant here.
Cerro Copper, a member of the Marmon Group of companies, will employ about 120 workers.The company will invest approximately $50 million in the plant, according to a company news release. Construction on the plant site will begin immediately.
Clark Krause, Iron County-Cedar City Economic Development Director, said the company expects to begin warehousing materials in Cedar City by the end of the year and begin production work within a year.
