The Foster Care Citizen Review Board is looking for Salt Lake and Tooele residents to serve on the panel.
The independent state agency reviews foster care cases from the Division of Child and Family Services. Boards established in various communities evaluate service plans for children and speak with caseworkers, birth parents, foster parents, therapists and guardians ad litem and others involved in the child's life. The panels have 10 members, five of whom must be parents.The board seeks people who have no vested interests, except concern for children. Potential board members must complete a three-day training workshop. Sessions are planned for May 18--20, June 15--17 and Aug. 10--12.
