"On advice from my doctors, I will be taking a three-month medical leave of absence beginning the first week of May," Michelman, 57, said in a brief statement that contained no specifics of her condition.Michelman said she will return in August "to continue campaigning vigorously to elect" a president and Senate and House members who support a woman's right to an abortion.
