HENEFER

- H. LaMont Richins, 83, died Saturday, April 29, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.He was born August 14, 1916 to H. Hillman and Elsie Maud Dawson Richins in Henefer, Utah.

On October 11, 1944, he married Amy Althea Ferguson in Salt Lake City. Their marriage was solem-nized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 28, 1945.

LaMont worked in the cattle and sheep business all of his life with his family. He was employed as a meat buyer and supervisor in the Salt Lake and Ogden areas for 30 years. He served as a Quartermaster Sargent in the Army Air Corp during World War II.

He was a member of the LDS Church, Henefer First Ward. He was a member of the BPOE Golden Spike Utah Lodge #719, the Meat Cutters Union and the American

Legion.

Surviving are his wife, Althea of Henefer; two sons and two daughters: Kary (Kathy) Richins of South Jordan, Utah; Ann (Charles) Bickmore of Sandy, Utah; Julie (Laird) Severinsen of West Jordan, Utah; and Gene (Linda) Richins of North Salt Lake; 11 grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Also surviving is one brother, Sheldon Richins of Henefer.

He was preceded in death by two brothers.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 4, 2000 at 12 Noon at the Henefer Ward Chapel. Friends may call at the church Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m. and Thursday from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Interment, Henefer Cemetery.
