Anna Margaret Erickson Wallace joined her Heavenly Father on Sat., April 29, 2000. A kind, gentle, loving mother, grand-mother, sister and friend.
Margaret was born on Oct. 29, 1915 in Salt Lake City, a daughter of Albert Arthur and Anna Verna Wilcox Erickson. She often spoke of her childhood living on 6th North, which brought a twinkle to her eye and loving memories of her siblings and parents.Margaret married Myron Stuart Wallace on July 4, 1935 in her parents home in Salt Lake City. She was a member of the "Libia Temple" Daughters of the Nile. She was an active member of the LDS Church serving as Primary Teacher, Relief Society secretary, and Visiting Teacher. She was a member of the "Daughters of Pioneers." Margaret and her sweetheart, Mike, were active in React until Mike's death in 1982. Camping in their "home on wheels" was a favorite pastime together. She loved her children and grandchildren and often played Chinese Checkers and Hearts with them. She loved crafts and crochet, making many memorable family treasures. Her card boxes are favorites among family and friends.
Margaret is survived by her three children, Albert Stuart (Genevra) Wallace, Myron David (Mary) Wallace, Helen Francis Wright; 15 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and two great great-grandchildren; brother, Richard Erickson (Elma); sister, Leslie Stout. Preceded in death by husband, Myron S. Wallace; son-in-law, Neals Wright; sisters, Verna Merle Woodruff, Bertha Rasmussen; brother, Franklin Albert Erickson; great-grandson, William Albert Wallace.
Graveside services will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 3, at Wasatch Lawn Cemetery, 3401 South Highland Dr., where friends may call one hour prior to services. Funeral directors Evans and Early Mortuary.
