Sarah Ann Dennison Knight, age 89, widow of LeVoy J. Knight, passed from this life on April 28, 2000, at her home in Vernal, Utah from cancer.

She was born in Manti, Utah on October 10, 1910 to Arthur A. and Hazel Ann Voorhees Dennison, the oldest daughter in a family of five girls and two boys. She grew up in and around Salina, Utah. In 1941 she and LeVoy and their sons moved to Salt Lake City where they remained for 30 years, until LeVoy retired and the moved to Vernal. She was active in the LDS Church, working over the years in the Relief Society, the genealogy library, as an MIA dance instructor with LeVoy, and for the last few years as Sunday School secretary. She and LeVoy served an LDS mission in Arkansas in the mid 70's. She was well known for her kindness, her thrift, her independence, and her lovely flowers and delicious vegetables. She was a devoted and loyal wife, mother, and friend; cherished and loved by everyone who knew her well.Sarah is survived by one son, Larry Jed Knight (Lyle) of Vernal; a daughter, Donna Lee Reber, of Austin, Texas; 12 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters: Alice Cloward and Laura House, of Salt Lake City; Florence Squires of Salina, Utah; and her brother, Arthur Dennison and his wife, LaVerna, of Salt Lake City. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Bessie and Bernice; and a brother, George.

Funeral services will he held on Thurs, May 4, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Vernal 8th Ward chapel, 1240 West 1500 South. Friends may call on Wed. evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home and on Thurs. from 9:30-10:30 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Dry Fork Cemetery under direction of the Hullinger-Jolley Funeral Home.
