Celia Eliza Thompson, 92, passed away May 1, 2000.

She was born April 26, 1908 to Jacob and Celia Francom Jacobsen in Hagerman, Idaho. The youngest of 13 children, she spent her childhood years on the family farm. At age 16 she married Cornelius Lee Thompson and had two children, Cecilia Marie and Joseph Cornelius. She raised two nephews, Jim and George Kinkade, after their mother died. The family moved to The Dalles, Oregon, and she later moved to Salt Lake City where she enjoyed many dear friends at Capitol Villa.She served faithfully for many years in the LDS Church, especially enjoying Primary. She loved to attend the temple. Always enthusiastic, she found joy in life and dearly loved her family. She is happy now to be reunited with her beloved husband; her son, Joe; and granddaughter, Addie Thompson.

She is survived by John and Cecilia Kerr; Todd and Laraine Thompson Shoemaker; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held at 6 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, May 3, at Larkin Sunset Gardens, 10600 S. 1700 E., Sandy. Graveside prayer will be 4 p.m. Thursday, May 4, in Hagerman, Idaho.
