NASHVILLE, Tenn. — John Barnes' ninth-inning single beat the outstretched glove of shortstop Eddie Zosky to score two runs in Salt Lake's 4-3 victory over Nashville Saturday night.

With two outs and the bases loaded, Barnes' hit to left field lifted the Buzz from a 3-2 deficit.

Salt Lake had taken a 2-0 lead in the fifth on Torii Hunter's two-run homer, his sixth of the season.

Nashville went ahead 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh on a three-run homer by Craig Wilson, his 15th.

Winning pitcher was Gus Gandarillas (5-4), with the save to Brent Stentz, his second. Loser was Dave Pavlis (1-2).
