First half: Utah played its best defense of the season, holding Mystic Nikki McCray to three missed shots and no points and Chamique Holdsclaw to eight total points. Meanwhile, the Starzz's Natalie Williams had 15 points and five boards, and the Starzz led by as many as 12 twice in the half.
Second half: Washington, second in the Eastern Conference, finished strong with 45 points in the half, but Utah slowed down several of its attempts to close the gap and never did let the Mystics take a lead though they came within two points three times. Williams scored 15 in this half, too, with eight rebounds.
