Liesa Leroy plays with giant bubbles at the "Stand for Children Day 2000" celebration at Sugarhouse Park Thursday. The event, which featured stories and activities for children as well as guest speakers and health and safety information for adults, also marked the 35th anniversary of the Head Start program. Both programs seek to build safer and healthier communities by helping the children.
