Viola Frances Clark Walters of Lindon, Utah passed away with her family at her side, Wednesday, May 31, 2000 at UVRMC due to complications following surgery.

Viola was born Jan. 31, 1924 to John Raymond and Lola Ivie Clark. She married Raymond Frank Walters, Jr. on Sept. 10, 1942.She grew up and attended schools in Provo, Utah, and was a member of the LDS Church serving in Relief Society, Young Women's and Primary.

Viola enjoyed golfing, and each winter traveling in their trailer to warmer climates. Many joyous times were spent with the grandchildren at the family cabin at Scofield, Utah. She was a past president of Dekatos and Phile Nada, was a member of Riverside Ladies Golf Association. Her talents in arts and crafts were shared with everyone she knew.

She raised three children with determination, love, sacrifice and a sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband, and her three children: Connie Rae Iverson, Salt Lake City, Utah; Francine (Bob) Ashdown, Orem, Utah; Raymond Frank Walters III, Lindon, Utah; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and one sister, JoAnn George of Salt Lake City, Utah. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers and three sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday, June 5, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Berg Mortuary, 185 East Center Street, Provo, Utah. Friends may call Sunday evening 6-8 p.m. at Berg Mortuary, and Monday one hour prior to services.

Interment, East Lawn Memorial Hills.
