Answer: "Titanic" sails onto commercial television over Thanksgiving weekend on NBC. Oscar-winner James Cameron was director, writer and executive producer of the movie, which remains the highest-grossing film of all time.
Question: I'd like to know where the comic Carrot Top went to school. My husband thinks he looks like the president of our daughter's high school class. — C.W., Plano, Texas
Answer: If she attended high school in Cocoa Beach, Fla., she may have known Scott Thompson, better known now as the red-headed comic Carrot Top. His Web page www.carrottop.com bio says he spent more time surfing than attending class.
Question: I watch the PBS series "Hetty Wainthropp Investigates." I was wondering if you had any information on the star, Dominic Monaghan, who plays Geoffrey Shawcross. He is a wonderful actor, and it seems like nobody knows anything about him. I heard a rumor that he was going to be in a movie version of "Lord of the Rings." Is this true? — A.A., via e-mail
Answer: The 22-year-old actor is from Manchester, England, and has appeared in a number of theatrical and television productions, including "Mystery!'s" "Hetty Wainthropp" and the recent "Masterpiece Theatre" "Monsignor Renard." Monaghan began work on the "Lord of the Rings" trilogy last October. He is cast in the supporting role of Hobbit Meriadoc "Merry" Brandybuck, joining stars Elijah Wood, Sean Astin, Liv Tyler and Cate Blanchett. The first film, "The Fellowship of the Ring," will probably be released in December 2001, with the next two parts following in subsequent years.
Question: When will "Walking With Dinosaurs" be repeated? We caught only part of it, and our 5-year-old was just fascinated. I believe it was on Discovery Channel. — R., via e-mail

Answer: Roz's full name is Rozalind Doyle. Early in her television career, Dallas-raised actress Peri Gilpin, who plays Roz, actually worked with her character's real-life namesake, the late TV producer Roz Doyle.
