Emma Lou Erickson Weir, 89, passed away on June 29, 2000. Born on May 10, 1911 in Stockton, Utah. Emmie lived a full and happy life. She married Charles Alfred Erickson in 1930, widowed. Mar-ried Leo J. Weir, 1968, widowed.
Emmie loved spending time with her family and visiting the family cabin where she played scrabble and beat everyone at card games. She had many special friends who welcomed her into their own families. She enjoyed gambling and liked to tell the story of how she rolled the dice 28 consecutive times. Her other favorite story was how she chipped in out of the sand on her 70th birthday. Emmie was well known for being a "snazzy dresser." She volunteered for many years with the Veteran's Hospital, American Cancer Society, Easter Seals and Murray Heritage Senior Center. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters since 1951 and of the Episcopal Church.
Survived by daughter, Helen Taylor (Boze) of Holladay; grandson, David Taylor (Michele) Sandy; granddaughter, Vicki Taylor, Park City and special great-grandson, Alex Taylor. and sister, Elsie Mae Hansen, Salt Lake City.
Graveside services will be held on Sat., July 1, 2000 at 11 a.m. at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 S. Highland Drive, where friends may call 9:45-10:45 a.m. prior to services.
