Thanksgiving Gardens and the Discovery Gardens are open this inaugural season Monday through Thursday from 5-9 p.m.; and Friday and Saturday from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Daily admission for both the Thanksgiving and Discovery Gardens is $6 for adults (13 and older) and $3 for children. Entrance to the Discovery Gardens only is $3 for adults and $2 for children. Children under 3 are admitted free. Take the Alpine/Highland Exit on I-15.

Every Wednesday through July: Garden talks at Brigham Young Historic Park at North Temple and State Street. The program begins at 8 p.m. and is free to the public.

Saturday, July 15: "Growing and Cooking with Herbs" will be the topic of a free class presented by the USU Extension Service, the Davis County Library and Davis County Master Gardener Association at the Central Branch of the Davis County Library, 155 N. Wasatch Drive in Layton. It will begin at 10 a.m. Evelyn Jensen is the presenter. Call 801-451-3204 for information.
