Margaret Ora Peterson Harvey died of natural causes on Tuesday, July 4, 2000 in Orem, UT.

She was born the fourth of ten children to Fridtjof Helon and Margaret Ora Bartlett Peterson on June 22, 1911 in Pleasant Grove, UT. She moved with her family to Aberdeen, Idaho around 1914. She graduated from BYU and taught first grade in San Juan County, Utah School District for 27 years. She loved children and gave much of herself to help them get a good start in school.

She married Douglas Harvey on December 21, 1937 in the Mesa, AZ Temple. He preceded her in death on February 11, 1985. They had eight children, all of whom survive, Leslie Harris and Jeanie (George) Kargis of Duchesne; David; Bonnie Fox of Orem; Ann Schinzing-Strasse of South Lake Tahoe, CA; Douglas (Kathy) of Manteca, CA; Bruce of LaCrescenta, CA; and Allyn (Bill) Kirkham of Portland, OR; 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She had a strong testimony of her Savior to the very end, and we're grateful for the legacy she left us.
