Afterthoughts

Are you as tired of Harry Potter as I am? I wish they would send that boy back to Cuba.

Part of me says isn't it wonderful that children are actually reading. Part of me imagines a parent saying, "Put down that book and go watch TV."

Part of me says there is something creepy about junior wizards holding a bookstore vigil at midnight with black lightning bolts on their foreheads. They are growing tails but at least they are reading.

Harry Potter mania is all innocent fun, and Jerry Falwell should be alerting us to the books' gay symbolism any day now.
