Edward Richard Coleman, 83, died July 10, 2000 in Salt Lake City. He was born to Richard Walter and Sophie Eckerlin Coleman on December 2, 1916 in Salt Lake City. He married Viola Latino July 27, 1947.

He loved to go fishing, camping and was an avid traveler. He was a member of the Teamsters. He started in the truck-ing business, where he owned his own trucks. Later retiring from Consolidated Freight in 1979 after driving over FOUR MILLION accident free miles. He was a past member of the B.P.O.E. He was a good friend and neighbor always willing to give a helping hand. He enjoyed life and will be missed by all of his family and friends.

Survived by his wife, Vi; daughter, Charlotte (Blake) Nielsen; three grandchildren, B.J., Christine and Alicia. His grandchildren brought much joy and happiness to his life. Also survived by brothers Fred L. "Bud" and Ernest Coleman. Preceded in death by parents.

Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. on Friday, July 14, 2000 in the Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park (Northmont Park Section). Friends may call at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive from 11:45-12:45 p.m. prior to services.
