Carl E. Dudley, age 85, passed away July 10, 2000 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Born September 13, 1914 in Salem, Utah. He was the youngest son of Joseph Warren Dudley and Arthema Luticia Sheffield Dud-ley. He married Ethel Lucille Gilbert on June 11, 1937 in Provo, Utah, which was later solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple.
Carl worked as a truck driver for Safeway Stores and Garrett Freight Lines. He loved working on his home and yard. He enjoyed working in the Salt Lake LDS Temple baptistery, and served in the presidency of the LDS Branch at the Salt Lake Veterans Hospital, and served as Sunday School president.
Survivors include his wife, Ethel Dudley, Salt Lake City; a son and a daughter, Gary (Joye) Dudley, Boise, Idaho; Bette (Walt) Ludington, Roseville, California; grandchildren, Erik Dudley, Kristina Dudley, Alan Ludington and Ann Ludington Feliz; five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, July 15 at the Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670 Highland Drive. Friends may call an hour prior to the service. Interment at Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park, 3401 South Highland Dr., Salt Lake City.
