Yoko Ono sued a Tokyo subway operator Thursday over prepaid passes showing a portrait of her late husband, John Lennon.

The Kyodo news agency, citing court documents, reported that the singer-artist claims copyright infringement and is seeking $120,000 from the Teito Rapid Transit Authority.

The Andy Warhol portrait was used on a 1,000 yen ($9.24) transit card. Teito said it had permission from a local museum that staged a Warhol exhibit and paid nothing in exchange for promoting the show.
