Nese Salamasina Levao, age 68, passed away peacefully July 12, 2000, in Salt Lake.
Nese was born October 15, 1931, in Apia, Western Samoa to Moevao and Faamao Toiloa Sala-masina. She married Leua Levao on in Western Samoa. Their marriage was later solemnized in the New Zealand LDS temple. He preced-ed her in death on July 24, 1998. She was an active member of the LDS church and served in many callings, including a thankful bishop's wife for many years. From 1983-1985 they served a mission together to the Apia Samoa Mission. She loved her nieces and nephews, brothers and sisters, and loved spending time with them.
Nese is survived by two sons, Tevisa Levao, Sione Levao; four daughters Moli Sautia, Nese Levao, Salote Sione, and Gauolemafua Levao; two brothers, Fiaoo Salamasina and Malo Salamasina; one sister Seleni Taula, Preceded in death by one son, Kuinise Levao; three brothers, Mapiva Salamasina, Patau Salamasina, and Taula Salamasina; two sisters, Feleni Matagi and Nese Levao.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 15, 2000, at 10 a.m., at the Vaiola LDS Ward, 35 East 350 North, North Salt Lake City, UT, where friends may call Friday evening, from 7 to
9 p.m. at the Vaiola LDS Ward and also on Saturday for one hour prior to the services. Interment: Bountiful City Cemetery.
