The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints presented a database of Jewish records to the International Association of Jewish Genealogical Societies this week.
The presentation was made at the group's convention by Richard Turley Jr., managing director of Family and Church History.
The searchable database is a worldwide catalogue of Jewish records on film, microfiche and books available at the Family History Library.
The new catalog will make it easier for Jews to research their ancestors in specific categories and locations, including the concentration camps of the Holocaust.
Recorded on compact disc, the Jewish database is available to patrons at the Family History Library in Salt Lake City.
