HONOLULU — Two U.S. military ships collided in the Pacific, causing significant structural damage to the vessels but no injuries, the Navy said Friday.

The USS Denver and USNS Yukon continued to operate on their own power after Thursday night's accident 180 miles west of Oahu, the Navy said.

The Denver, an amphibious transport dock ship based in San Diego, was scheduled to arrive at Pearl Harbor later Friday.

The Yukon, an oiler, was expected to arrive back at its base in Pearl Harbor this weekend.
