Officers were slipping and sliding as they patrolled traffic and cleaned up little silicone balls that spilled from a truck near 600 North between 400 and 800 West Saturday.
The balls contained silicone used to make reflective paint, said Salt Lake City Police Lt. Terry Morgan. They spilled from a Wasatch Construction truck, she said.
"It made the road hard to walk on," Morgan said.
Officers spent two hours at the scene.
