Federal, state and local fire agencies are reminding residents that the fire danger across Utah is still extreme. Fire restrictions are in place on all federal, state and private lands throughout the state.
These restrictions include:
No open fires of any kind, except campfires in developed campsites and facilities.
No smoking, except in vehicles, boats, developed recreation sites, residences or in an area at least three feet in diameter that is cleared of flammable materials.
No fireworks, tracer ammunition or other pyrotechnic devices in Park City, Layton, Fruit Heights, Herriman and South Ogden.
In areas where fireworks are allowed, officials urge users to stay in cleared, open areas.
