Sparks 58, Lynx 57

LOS ANGELES — Tamecka Dixon hit two free throws with 1.3 seconds remaining that lifted the Los Angeles Sparks to a tough 58-57 victory over the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday.

Betty Lennox's jumper had given the Lynx a 57-56 lead with six seconds left.

Lisa Leslie led all scorers with 24 points for the Sparks, while Lennox topped the Lynx with 21.STING 76, MYSTICS 73: At Washington, Darrell Walker focused on defense during his first practice as coach of the Washington Mystics.

It wasn't enough, as Andrea Stinson scored 24 points and the Charlotte Sting spoiled Walker's WNBA coaching debut Saturday with a 76-73 victory over the Mystics.

ROCKERS 79, FEVER 55: At Cleveland, Merlakia Jones scored 13 points as five Cleveland players scored in double figures in the victory over Indiana.

The Rockers never trailed and led by as many as 30 points en route to their fourth consecutive win.
