Hendrik (Dad) had a strong love for the LDS church. He and Mom were called on a regional mission working with the Spanish speaking people. Later they were called to the Ogden Temple as temple missionaries. Dad worked as a optician, and for the LDS. Church. He loved soccer and music. He had a great tenor voice and loved to sing. He showed us all the meaning of love, compassion, generosity and the value of families. Most of all he loved everyone, especially little children. He was a friend to everyone. He touched many lives in many ways that cannot be expressed in just a few short words. We were greatly blessed to have had him for our Dad, Opa, and Grandpa.
