Harmon's Grocery Stores has awarded the $3,090 Harmon's Christopher M. Kingery Memorial Scholarship to Jeremy Bromley, a University of Utah pharmaceutical student who works in the chain's Kearns Cougar Place store.

Each year Harmon's selects an outstanding associate to receive the scholarship, established in memory of Christopher M. Kingery, who died in an accident while working at the Kearns store in September 1997. The scholarship is renewable up to four years.

Bromley started out as a pharmacy technician at the Kearns store. He is now an intern and a member of the American Pharmaceutical Association-Academy Students of Pharmacy. He lives with his wife and daughter in Sandy.
