WEST VALLEY CITY — Police are investigating a Saturday night drive-by shooting possibly involving drugs and association with gangs.

At around 7 p.m., three people apparently drove up to a house near 2000 West and 3300 South, said Sgt. Terence Chen of West Valley Police. They shot at a sports utility vehicle, damaging headlights and the windshield. No one was hurt.

Chen said the parties possibly knew each other. And for some unknown reason, the victims jumped into the SUV and drove away from the house.

Police spent a great part of Saturday night attempting to locate the victims.

"They (apparently) don't really want to talk," Chen said.
