Two injured Orem hikers were carried down from the top of Mount Timpanogos Sunday by a Utah County sheriff's mounted posse.
Rebecca Hancock, 28, injured a knee while climbing the mountain Saturday, said Utah County Sheriff's Sgt. Tom Hodgson. The sheriff's search and rescue team, as well as volunteers from the Timpanogos Emergency Response Team, carried equipment up to Hancock and companion Richard Ivie, 30, so they could spend the night.
Later, Ivie injured his ankle, Hodgson said. The mounted posse carried the pair off the mountain on horseback Sunday morning.
