DELTA, Utah-June Johnson Lovell, 82, passed away July 16, 2000 in Delta.
Born June 4 1918 in Holden to Wilford C. and Irene Mackel prang Johnson. Married Lem Lovell, November 8, 1944 in St George LDS Temple. He died June 1, 1999.
Attended East Millard Schools, BAC in Cedar City, graduated USU in with Elementary Education Certificate. Blessed with beautiful soprano voice, music was important. Devoted to family and excellent cook. Loved meals with family and friends. Received many prizes and awards for baked goods and gardening. Beautiful back yard garden was location of many parties and wedding receptions. Service was core of June's life. Member of LDS Church serving in many callings in Relief Society, Primary, Young Womens. Worked with Lem in Lovell's Inc as Secretary and bookkeeper.
Survived by sons and daughters: Tom (Denise) Lovell, Rexburg, Idaho; Jane (Mark) Petersen, Delta; Nancy (Joe) Moore, Phoenix, Arizona; Richard (Bernice) Lovell, Troy, Michigan; 20 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; brother: Blair Johnson, Winnemucca, Nevada; sister: Mavis Stephenson, Orem, Utah. Preceded in death by grandson: John Lovell Moore.
Funeral services Thursday July 20, 2000, 11 a.m., Delta 4th Ward Chapel, 197 South 300 West. Friends call at Nickle Mortuary, 190 South Center, Wednesday 7-8 p.m. and at Church Thursday 9:30-10:40 a.m. Burial Holden Cemetery.
