Beatrice Hogan Densley, 79, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home on July 17, 2000.

She was born in West Jordan, Utah on August 29, 1920 to Donald and Janet Edna Gardner Finlay-son Hogan. In 1943

she married Rodney D. Butterworth in Texas; they later divorced. On August 19, 1954, she married Elmo Huffman Densley in Salt Lake City, Utah. He preceded her in death.

Beatrice was part owner and manager of the West Jordan Locker Association and was a member of the Business and Professional Women's Association. A graduate of Jordan High School, she received her BA and MS Degrees from the University of Utah. One of the founders and first President of Delta Chapter of Alpha Delta Kapa, an educational society in the Jordan School District, she taught at Bingham and Hillcrest High School and was a Counselor at the new Bingham High School. One of her favorite hobbies was an active participation in restoration of homes.

Survivors: children, Mary Lewis, Midvale; Jane Ballard (Dale Jr.), Draper; Bruce Densley (Claudia), South Jordan; Catherine Loulias (Kim), Seattle, Washington; 11 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; brothers, Vern Finlayson, Rulon, Clyde, Eric and Heber Hogan; sisters, Ruth Parry, Margaret Rideout, Billie Mello.

Preceded in death by brothers, Donald and Lee Hogan; Grandel Finlayson; sisters, Irene Gardner, Ora Bulkley and Olive Smith.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 20, 2000 at 11 a.m. in the Midvale 2nd LDS Ward Chapel, 97 West 7500 South. Friends may call at Goff Mortuary, 8090 So. State Wednesday 6-8 p.m. and Thursday at the church from 9:45-10:45 a.m.

Interment, Herriman Cemetery.
