BOUNTIFUL-- Our wonderful, loving, gentle, kind and giving husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend returned home to his Heavenly Father to be reunited with his dad, mom, sister Maxine and mother-in-law Dar, on Sunday, July 16, 2000. While vacationing at Bear Lake he was overcome by heart failure and passed away unexpectedly with great dignity at the young age of 53 with his beloved family by his side.
Steve was born in Salt Lake City, Utah on December 8, 1946 to Charles and Ella Clapham. He married his sweetheart Kathleen on April 26, 1974. Their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple on June 27, 1975. His entire life revolved around his family and friends who found his love for life contagious. He had a passion for the outdoors and enjoyed fishing, especially on Strawberry Reservoir, hunting, snowmobiling, camping with his brothers and sons and riding his Harley. He took great pride working on and showing his classic cars. He loved vacationing with his family, one of his most memorable trips was to Alaska with his daughter Natalie. He loved vacations in Yellowstone, Jackson, Victoria, Palm Desert and Las Vegas with his constant companion and sweetheart Kathleen. He spent every spare minute he could with his special granddaughter Ashlyn "Punkie Pie". Steve took great pride in Ram Construction, Inc., the successful business that he founded with his two brothers. They specialized in commercial building and remodeling.
