Horace Wesley Tame, 92, passed away Saturday, July 15, 2000 in Salt Lake City. He was born August 20, 1907 in Taylorsville, Utah to Thomas Wesley and Dorothy Marie Putnam Tame. He married Lois Wicker, June 29, 1933 in Coalville, UT. Later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. She died Feb. 11, 2000.

He was a retired manager of the Elysian Burial Gardens. Served as a bishop of the Winder 3rd Ward, Smith Ward and the Smith West Ward. He was a member of the Grant Stake presidency, served on the High Council and as a Salt Lake Temple worker.

Survivors: children, Myrna (Del) Wallengren, Craig (Jo) Tame; five grandchildren, Tami (Todd) Whitaker, Jaren Tame, Tori (Richard) Ballard, Kelli (Jason) Berg, Brandon (Amy) Wallengren; two great-grandsons, Parker Ballard and Alexander Berg; five step-grandchildren, Ernest (Cheryl) Wallengren, Kristin (John) Garbett, Mark (Barbara) Wallengren, Eric (Susan) Wallengren and Rolf Wallengren; sisters Leona Witt and Meda Heck. Preceded in death by parents, brother Melvin Tame and sister Jennie Jordison.

Funeral services will be held Thursday July 20, 2000 at 2 p.m., at the Winder 3rd LDS Ward, 1250 E. 4530 So. Friends may call at Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 So. State Street, Wed. 6 to 8 p.m. and Thurs. at the church 1-1:45 p.m. Interment Elysian Burial Gardens.
