BYU INTERNATIONAL MUSIC AND DANCE FESTIVAL, Friday, July 7, 7:30 p.m., Dee Events Center, Ogden. This dance extravaganza will feature the International Folk Dance Ensemble and the folk music ensemble Mountain Strings. The dance ensemble will perform selections from Eastern Europe, the Middle East, Asia, Latin America and North America. Highlights of this year's program will include jigs from Quebec, songs and dances from the Sop region of Bulgaria, dances from Hungary, Gypsy mouth music and traditional folk dances from China. The dancers will also perform "Cry of the Celts," a hard-shoe exhibition choreographed by Johanna Edlinger in the style of "Riverdance." Tickets are $10 for adults or $25 for a family of five and $5 for students, at the Dee Event Center and at Smith'sTix.

Lyric soprano Hill and her daughter, coloratura soprano Hart, will perform music by Purcell, Faure, Mahler, Brahms and Tosti.
