Did I read your Friday, July 14, Life section piece right? A (excuse me?!) menopause seminar for UTA employees? On public dollars meant to build and maintain public transport? And on paid time?
Maybe we should also give transit workers free publicly funded seminars on unplugging their toilets, tending their gardens and maintaining their cars. Perhaps something on discriminating bargain-shopping on QVC. What's wrong with this picture?
Seems like proof of charges Gov. Mike Leavitt has let government of this supposedly conservative state metastasize as a liberal-socialist tumor.
Pardon me for thinking transit workers should work on transit and tend their own lives, health, etc. on their own time, effort and funds like the rest of us.
