Twin sisters Heather and Jennifer Kinley — known, of course, as the Kinleys — will play the Outlaw Saloon, 1500 Riverdale Blvd., in Riverdale, tonight. Doors open at 7 p.m. The duo, best known for the 1998 debut "Just Between You and Me," has released a follow-up album, "II," which includes the bonus cut "Somebody's Out There Watching," featured on the "Touched by an Angel" soundtrack.
CATHERINE WHEEL will roll into Salt Lake City yet again. The British rock quartet lead by singer Rob Dickinson will play Club DV8, 115 S. West Temple, on Saturday, July 22. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The band is touring in support of its sixth album, "Wishville."
HUN HUUR TU, also known as the Throat Singers of Tuva, will perform as part of the Twilight Concert Series in the Gallivan Utah Center on Thursday, July 27. The music will begin at 7:30 p.m. The singers, who hail from the country Tuva near Mongolia, have devised a way to use their throats, lips and larynx to create up to three simultaneous tones from one singer at once. Free.
THE MISFITS and Ignite will play Club DV8, 115 S. West Temple, on Wednesday, July 26. Doors will open at 7 p.m. The Misfits, featuring vocalist Jerry Only, was the launching pad for the dark knight of metal, Glenn Danzig. The band's works "Green Hell" and "Last Caress" have been covered by metal stalwarts as Metallica.
