America's favorite redhead will be showing up in mailboxes across the country.
A stamp honoring Lucille Ball was unveiled Friday at the "Loving Lucy 2000" fan convention in Burbank, Calif. The stamp is scheduled for release in 2001.
The stamp's color illustration shows the late "I Love Lucy" actress sporting masses of curly red hair and a bejeweled earring, based on a 1955 photograph.
With a Lucy impersonator standing by, actor Karl Malden, a member of the Citizens' Stamp Advisory Committee, helped unveil the stamp, the second to feature the actress.
She appeared with her late husband, Desi Arnaz, on a stamp commemorating "I Love Lucy" in the Postal Service's "Celebrate the Century" series.
