The Utah Long Drive Championship will be contested Wednesday at the Mick Riley Golf Course.
Registration begins at 9 a.m., and qualifying will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m., with finals set for 4 p.m.
The defending champion is Richard Cunningham, who has won the event three times. Last year his winning drive measured 360 yards, 28 inches. Champions will be crowned in several divisions, including senior (over 50), super-senior (over 60), women and junior.
The cost for participants is $15 for three balls, and all proceeds from the event benefit Utah junior golf. The sponsors of the event are Nike and Ping. There is no charge to watch the event.
