Verla Taggart Olson, 92 years old, passed away Friday, 21 July 2000, at the home of her daughter in Clarkston, Utah, with her family at her side.
Born Feb. 3, 1908 in Lewiston, UT, the third child of Frederick Taggart and Eulalia Ardella Leavitt Taggart.
She married Isa-dore Olson in the Logan LDS Temple Aug. 31, 1942.
She loved home-making and was ex-pert at doing anything and everything well. She was an excellent seamstress and did upholstery, made wedding cakes, cookies, and candies. She also did oil painting.
Survivors include her children, Gloria Marshall, Pearblossom, CA, Ralph and Sharon Olson, Bountiful, UT, Carolyn and Ferris Thompson, Clarkston, UT, Roger and Sharen Olson, West Valley City, UT; 27 grandchildren; 65 great-grandchildren; 32 great great-grand-children; brothers, Edis Taggart, Lewiston, Paul Taggart, Ogden; and sisters, Myrna Larson, Downey, ID, LaRee Scott, North Ogden. Preceded in death by her husband, Isadore Olson; brother, Walter Taggart; sisters, Ruey Hyde, Janett Hodges, Meleese Taggart; a son, Victor; daughter, Alta Mae Eskelson, two sons-in-law; and five grandchildren.
Viewing, 6-8 p.m. Tues. July 25, Allen-Hall Mortuary, 34 E. Center, Logan, UT and 10:30-11:30 a.m. July 26, Lewiston LDS 2nd Ward, 10 S. 1600 W., Lewiston, UT. Services will be 12 noon with Bishop Jan Hall conducting. Interment, Lewiston City Cemetery.
