Claudia Schiffer got a visit from a man carrying a large bouquet of flowers, but he wasn't at the supermodel's doorstep for a date.
Police in Madrid, Spain, said a 44-year-old man who was fleeing an arrest warrant for assault and battery approached a patrolman, identified himself as Schiffer's husband and asked for directions to her summer home in Spain, the state news agency Efe reported Sunday.
The officer gave him directions but called his base to report his suspicions. Police detained the man as he knocked on the door — with flowers in hand, the agency reported.
Schiffer was not in the residence at the time.
