Leon Peterson, age 89, passed away July 19, 2000, in Murray, Utah.
Born July 25, 1910, in Snowville, UT, to Charles and Maria Worley Peterson. Married LaRue Hall Aug. 29, 1933, in Salt Lake City, later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple.
Former manager for Eimco Corp. Member of the LDS Church, held several positions including member of the elder's quorum presidency, assistant ward clerk, and stake missionary.
Survived by his wife; children, Renae (Kent) Wilding, Allen (Hazel) Peterson, Elaine (Dennis) Jewell, Kathy Miller, Merlynn (Steven) Visher; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and brother, Talbert Peterson.
Funeral, 12 noon, Wed., Riverside LDS 2nd Ward chapel, 500 W. Germania (5090 So.) Friends may call 6-8 p.m., Tues. at the Jenkins-Soffe Mortuary, 4760 S. State St., and at the church, one hour prior to service. Interment, Murray City Cemetery.
