ALPINE --Duane Albert Shepherd, 75, passed away July 22, 2000.

Born Oct. 7, 1924, in Levan, UT, to Evan Albert and Dora Burguss Shepherd. Married Grace Olivia Carson in the Salt Lake LDS Temple June 4, 1943.

Veteran of the U.S. Army in World War II, worked at Geneva Steel for 32 years, and a member of the LDS Church.

Survived by his wife; children, Kent (Peggy) Shepherd, Alpine, Ray (Lillian) Shepherd, Diane (Lynn) Hunter, both of American Fork; Ilene (Ken) Vance, Sandy; Clyde (Jana) Shepherd, Cedar Hills; sisters, Lois Beck, Dona Mae Carter; brother, Vernon Shepherd; 18 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. Pre-ceded in death by a son, Dale Shepherd; and grandson, Randall Shepherd.

Services will be 11 a.m., Wed., July 26, in the Alpine Stake Center 98 E. Canyon Crest Road, Alpine, UT. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tues., and 9:30-10:30 a.m. Wed. at the church. Burial, Alpine City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Broomhead Funeral Home Riverton.
