A tribute to a impressive lady, Venna Elizabeth Johnson (March 9, 1920-July 25, 2000).

Venna loved sun-shine and laughter. She looked forward to every day that she could spend on the golf course. From the time she rowed her father up and down Fish Lake along the "mac" line, Venna had a passion for fishing, and she always delighted in catching fish on a fly and a bubble.

Venna could ride horses and hunt with the best of the men, as evidenced by her huge trophy buck that hung in her den.

Always energetic and very musically gifted, she taught voice lessons and music for many years in Salina. Encouraging her students to use their talents, she coordinated hundreds of programs for church and civic occasions throughout the state.

Venna completed her degree at SUU later in life where the highlight was participating in many plays with the Shakespearean Festival. She returned to Salina and was a dedicated teacher at North Sevier High School.

She was diligent in her quest for life and she survived--and even flourished--after several difficult operations.

She provided great direction and support for her children and leaves behind a wonderful family: Met and wife, Lana, M'Recia and husband, Len, and Markay and wife, Ashley. Her warm love will always be felt by her nine grandchildren and her two great- grandchildren. She will join her husband, Bryce, who predeceased her. They were married in the Manti Temple December 21, 1939. She will be missed by her best buddies, Verle and Wayne, and her brothers, Willis and Brice.

It's her time now to return to our Heavenly Father. There will be a void in our lives with the silence of her voice. We love you, Venna.
