JenaVee Larsen Palmer, 77, beloved and revered mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister, and friend peacefully passed away surrounded by her family at her home in South Jordan on July 26, 2000.

She was born August 21, 1922 in Sandy, Utah, a daughter of Raymond P. and Mima LaVon Bagley Larsen. She was raised in Bingham and Copperton. Married Ross W. Palmer on June 30, 1943 in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. JenaVee devoted her life to her family and they were the light of her life.

JenaVee enjoyed her work and association in the DUP. She was an active member of the LDS Church, serving in various positions.

She loved her mission with Ross to North Carolina and their years of service as temple workers in the Jordan River Temple. They were constant companions who loved and supported each other for over 56 years and are now together again for eternity. JenaVee raised her family in South Jordan. She taught her family by how she lived. She always had a kind and encouraging word to say. Her quiet dignity spoke volumes of her character. She lived the values of honesty, integrity, doing one's best, and believing in and never giving up on each other. She loved the beauty of flowers and took time to smell the roses. She is a legacy for her ability to recall names of friends, family, and events. We will miss mom, and will meet the challenge to honor her good name.

She is survived by six sons, Grant (Hazel), Lynn (Terry), Paul (Claudette), Stuart (Susan), Keith (Sheri), Dennis (Verlene); one daughter, Jenae Christensen; 31 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; her sisters,

Lois Larsen and Colleen (Arnold) Parry and sisters-in-law,

Vida Hutchings, Myrl (Jay) Burton, and Birdie (Earl) Crane. Preceded in death by her parents; two grandchildren and her husband, who passed away in March this year.

The family wishes to express heartfelt appreciation to our new friend, Carolyn, who helped us love and care for 'that wonderful mother of ours.'

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 29, 2000, at 11 a.m. in the Jordan River 12th Ward Chapel, 10150 South 1300 West, South Jordan (the chapel next to the Jordan River Temple). Friends and family may call at the church on Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. and again Saturday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m.
